Visit the VHEDA site for information on the operations of the Economic Development Authority. The Authority was established when the Vint Hill Farms Station Army post was closed. Fauquier County came into ownership of the land and the Authority was given a mission to replace the 5,000 jobs lost when the post closed.

New Baltimore Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company (Station 10)
The NBVFRC is the busiest fire company in Fauquier County. This company normally responds to 911 calls from Vint Hill. The firehouse is manned by two career firefighters during business hours, Monday through Friday. At all other times the responders are volunteers. At present NBVFRC does not charge for emergency calls. The county Board of Supervisors has directed the company to charge for calls, starting in late 2007. This extra funding will allow for paid staff on all shifts. See their web site at: http://www.nbvfrc.org.
